Polarity Automation can provide assessments and coaching on your software project management and software development process.

If you have an aim to improve the punctuality of software releases, or are looking to enhance the quality of your software, or maybe reduce the bureaucracy then we can examine your processes and make recommendations to achieve this.

Initially we will discuss your concerns, look at your organisation structure and select the people to be interviewed. The interviews will be used to gather qualitative and quantitative information about your project and processes and encourage ideas to be bounced around. We can also facilitate a group brain storming meeting to create further ideas and build up momentum for change. It is important that this initiative is a two way process to ensure that we have the team’s support. With this, changes will be much more successful. One of the key aims of the exercise is to ensure that any process changes are made as streamlined and automated as possible.

We will look at what metrics are being collected or should be collected, and show how to make the best use of these.

At the end of the assessment a report will be presented, which will detail what is going well and also give recommendations for short and long term improvements. The report will contain specific actions, which we can prioritise together. During this session we will encourage open feedback.

The length of the assessment will vary depending on the size of your organisation or project, but it is likely to be from 5 to 10 working days.

Coaching is available as a follow-on to the assessment, to help your team create a plan for implementing the changes and ensure that regular, effective, progress reviews are occurring. This also provides the opportunity to gather feedback from engineers and managers and examine the metrics to discover which changes are the most effective. If necessary, adjustments can be discussed and implemented. Also further process improvements identified and planned.

Each coaching session would typically last one day and can be provided at regular or varying intervals, as best suits your needs. We can be flexible if you have a particular requirement that differs from this.
